Six Outfits To Travel Into Your Next Adventure

Six Outfits To Travel Into Your Next Adventure

Wondering what to wear while you travel? I’ve put together six outfits to travel into your next adventure! When it comes to packing a wardrobe for travel, it’s all about versatility. You want to be able to mix and match pieces to create a variety of looks, without having to bring too much with you. Here are a few ways to pack a more versatile wardrobe:

1. Stick to a neutral color palette. Black, white, and gray are always good choices. Not only do they go with everything, but they also don’t show wrinkles as easily as brighter colors.

2. Choose versatile fabrics. Denim, cotton, and jersey are all great options. They’re comfortable, easy to care for, and can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion.

3. Pack a mix of tops and bottoms. Bring at least one nice blouse or shirt for nicer occasions, but also pack some casual t-shirts or tank tops that can be layered under sweaters or jackets. As for bottoms, jeans are always a good choice, but consider packing some leggings or skirts as well.

4. Accessorize! Scarves, jewelry, and belts can all help to change the look of an outfit. Pack a few key pieces that will work with multiple outfits.

5. Pack smart shoes. Shoes take up a lot of space in a suitcase, so try to limit yourself to two or three pairs. A comfortable pair of walking shoes is essential, but also pack a dressier pair of shoes for nights out or special occasions. flats or sandals are always good choices that won’t take up too much space in your suitcase.

Come Fly With Me

Five packing tips for flying

Traveling by airplane can be a great experience, but it can also be a bit of a hassle. Packing for a flight can be tricky, especially if you’re trying to avoid paying extra for checked baggage. Here are five tips to help you pack light and stay organized when you’re traveling by plane:

1. Start with a carry-on bag: Most airlines have strict limits on the size and weight of carry-on luggage, so it’s important to choose a bag that meets those requirements. If you can, opt for a bag with wheels; it will make maneuvering through the airport much easier.

2. Pack smart: Don’t try to stuff everything into your carry-on bag; instead, pack only the essentials. Make sure to pack items that are versatile and can be used for multiple purposes. For example, a sarong can be used as a scarf, blanket, or pillowcase.

3. Use packing cubes: Packing cubes are great for organizing your clothes and keeping them from getting wrinkled. They also help to maximize space in your suitcase.

4. Roll your clothes: Rolling your clothes instead of folding them helps to save space and prevents wrinkles.

5. Wear your heaviest items: Wearing your heaviest items on the plane will free up space in your luggage and help to prevent wrinkles in your clothes. Plus, you won’t have to lug around a heavy suitcase through the airport.

Road Trippin'

Three Way To Make Your Next Road Trip More ENjoyable

Road trips are a great way to see the country and spend time with family and friends. However, they can also be long and monotonous. Here are three ways to make road trips more fun:

1) Create a playlist or have a few that you love preloaded and ready to go. I have playlists on Spotify that I’ll happily share with you if you need a little something.
2) Pack some snacks and games for the car. Variety is key, especially for longer rides. Don’t forget to also bring plenty of water. This will help keep everyone entertained during the drive.
3) Plan your trip around interesting landmarks or attractions. This will give you a reason to get out of the car and explore your surroundings. Also a reason to stretch your legs for a bit. I’ll be writing more guides that include landmarks to see around the United States, so keep and eye out for that!

Navigating Trains Stations

Train stations can be intimidating places, especially if you’re unfamiliar with the layout. However, with a little bit of planning, you can easily navigate your way through any train station. The first step is to check the departure boards to see which platform your train is departing from. Once you know the platform number, head to that area of the station. If you’re unsure of where to go, ask a member of staff or another passenger for directions. When you get to the platform, find your car number and wait in that area. Once the train arrives, double-check that it’s going to your destination before boarding. There will be a sign either on the train or the platform sign that will show the final destination. With these simple tips, you’ll be navigating train stations like a pro in no time!

Safety First

Just a Few Safety Tips To Help

No matter where you’re going, it’s always important to be aware of your surroundings and take precautions to stay safe. When you’re in a new place, it’s easy to let your guard down and become more vulnerable to theft or crime. But by following a few simple tips, you can help keep yourself safe while traveling. First, be aware of your belongings at all times and keep them close to you. If possible, carry a copy of your passport and other important documents in a secure, easily accessible place. When exploring new areas, stick to well-lit streets and avoid walking alone at night.  And finally, always err on the side of caution and trust your gut – if something doesn’t feel right, it probably isn’t. The Pink Figgy

Schedule A photoshoot for your next trip

This is more of a suggestion than anything, but the next time you are traveling to a special spot look into scheduling a photoshoot. My best friend did this on a trip we took to Paris and those pictures are some of my favorite. It was a wonderful way to remember the trip, and the photographer did an amazing job! To find a photographer check out photography hashtags for the city you are heading to.

If you are heading to Charleston, South Carolina I’d look into booking the Pink Figgy! I met them through Instagram and have fallen in love with the fun pictures from shoots with the light pink car. Here is the link to their website if you’re interested.

Where do you draw the line?

  1. You understand the importance of hydration,  but don’t necessarily want to tell the world by  wearing a sheet mask. This is a safe option that  anyone can do that your skin will thank you for.
  2. It’s no secret we get hydrated on a flight and you  know it’s a good time to use a heavy salve like this.  Alone it’s great but with gloves…
  3. When I see you pulling out moisturizing gloves  on a flight I know you’re good people. I know  we will be friends and I respect that. A long  flight is the ideal time to pull these out and  arrive with baby soft hands.
  4. To the ladies so dedicated to good skin care  that you wear a sheet mask on a flight: I  applaud you! May we all aspire to be like you.
  5. You’re insane and I love it. The gloves, I get.  But when you go barefoot long enough to  apply salve then put on the socks that is a  whole different level. I’ve seen this done once and  I’ll never forget you.
  6. This is the power move way too many people don’t utilize! I keep travel toothpaste and a toothbrush in my travel handbag. I head straight to the Sky Club and freshen up!
