Spring Break In Naples

Spring Break In Naples

Escape the cold and enjoy your Spring Break in Naples, Florida! It’s a beach town known for European culinary adventure, beaches that go on for miles and some of the best boutique shopping. Naples is very much an old Florida town, and has streets of historic homes along with well established gardens and trees. You won’t be able to miss the giant bougainvillea climbing up many of the homes!

I’m sharing my personal favorites, along with suggestions from Jennifer at The Scout Guide Naples. I’ve also talked with most of the businesses to find out what they are most proud of and like to showcase. Definitely check out Jane’s favorite French Toast at the Cafe! You’ll find plenty to do in Naples and what to wear to wander.

Alternative Spring Break Option

If you’re looking for a colder spot to spend Spring Break, check out this guide on Aspen here. I’ve got recommendations for everything from skiing to spas and everything in between. I can’t recommend the cashmere at Gray Aspen enough, or the onion soup at French Alpine Bistro. Aspen has loads to offer on top of skiing, so stop by and plan your trip!

Look no further than the Ritz Carlton Naples for your stay. It’s right on the beach and invites you to see the most spectacular sunsets while creating memories to last. Make sure to note where you book your stay. There are two different Ritz Carlton hotels in Naples, and one is on the beach while the other is a golf resort.

The service at the hotel is impeccable from beginning to end! They’ve recently remodeled and upgraded a lot of the amenities making it a wonderful spot to go. While you’ll need to hope in the car to head down town Naples, I suggest this hotel because it feels like a getaway from everything. It’s peaceful and serene with the best amenities and spa in town.

On Saturdays, the 3rd Street Market brings added life to the area. The Market overflows with fresh produce, flowers, pastas, seafood, pastries & baked goods, prepared foods, jams, relishes, fresh roasted coffee and much more. Music, coffee, dog treats, and many other delights make the Third Street South Farmer’s Market perfect for grown-ups, children, dogs, and every other member of the family. They literally have it all! Even while on vacation I like to head out and shop these markets. You can find locally made items to bring to your home or use as gifts for friends and family. Even if you don’t feel like shopping, head down there for Fire & Rice. They’re a paella vendor you absolutely must try!

Naples not only has beautiful beaches but also exquisite florals and vegetation. The pinnacle of this can be found at the Botanical Garden where you can wander around the 170-acre preserve. I love the Lea Asian Gardens with the temples and serene waterscapes, but there are many different gardens to explore. It’s a beautiful spot for pictures and a quiet moment. After speaking with a representative of the gardens, I was excited to tell you all about STICKWORK. It’s a sculpture by environmental artist Patrick Doughtery and offers visitors the opportunity to interact with art. You can also view the list of festivals and events at the Gardens here to see if they line up with your schedule!

Clam Pass if one of the most popular beach access points that provides nearly a mile of beach front. Hop on a golf cart and ride down the boardwalk to see a gorgeous beach and pavilion. They have life jacket loaners available, restrooms and showers to wash off after the beach. Take along a cooler with snacks and drinks to further enjoy your day at the beach. Lunch like a local and try out Ridgway Bar & Grill. They’re a family owned business that highlights the legacy of Chef Tony Ridgway. Chef Tony offers delicious house made cuisine and the ideal spot to grab lunch while exploring the city. I’d suggest trying the crab cakes (you can see a picture of them in the image carousel below! Just click on the dress and you can click through.).

Find a locally made brunch at this Naples classic. Jane’s has been around for 16 years and offers high quality food and ingredients served in the most fabulous location. You’ll be right in the heart of the city with plenty to walk to after brunch. After speaking with the restaurant, I found out that Jane’s go to is the French Toast. Thick slices of challah bread is dipped in their vanilla cinnamon custard then covered in berries and maple syrup. Insiders tip: on the weekends they serve stuffed toast specials you must ask about!

Reserve a table for dinner at the best Italian Restaurant in all of Naples, Florida. Campiello has the most delightful al fresco dining and offers a variety of Italian favorites. You can’t go wrong with the menu, but leave room for the house made gelato at the end.

Get a reservation and experience the best seafood in town. Sails has a prix fixe four course menu with incredible options at each course. Begin with the hamachi crudo, then try the tomato salad. It is a simple salad, but Sails uses the freshest ingredients for quality. I always go for scallops at restaurants known for seafood, but the dover sole also looks amazing. Make your last course the Valrhona Chocolate Soufflé. Anytime Valrhona is on the menu, it is worth it! On Sundays, you can head in for their champagne brunch and get treated to fantastic service with equally amazing food.

I’ve saved my favorite for last! The French is like stepping into a brasseries with the best ambience and amazing food. You’ll feel like you have been transported to Paris when you step in, from the decor to the food. The charming courtyard welcomes you in and often you’ll hear live music playing. Their menu is simple but well done. The beef tartare is highly recommended but I’d also suggest the steamed mussels. Whatever you do, make sure you get a reservation, because it is rightly so a very popular spot.
