There are a lot of things to consider when picking out clothes for a trip. Your location, your events, and the level of dress you would like to be at. Some prefer to travel in the most casual of outfits, others like to be a bit more formal. Wherever you’re at, the tips below should help you pick the perfect top.
Next up, let’s take a look at the type of materials and what to consider in packing:
- Lightweight – I include tees, tanks and sheer blouses in this category. It’s perfect for layering pieces, especially if you are heading somewhere that you know you’ll be heading indoors and out often. Most often, you’ll have more formal tops in this category as well.
- Medium weight- This category will be the most common of the three. Thing button down tops, basic knits and tops.
- Heavy weight – As the weather gets cooler, you’ll find yourself pulling for these tops more frequently. Think sweaters and sweatshirts. Fabrics include wools and cashmere. I always like to include some sort of sweater on a trip, as you never know when you might need it.
