Let me be your guide to London in the fall during this perfect time to explore London. From food to arts and crafts, there’s something for everyone. One of my favorites is the Columbia Road Flower Market which is open every Sunday. It’s the perfect place to take a stroll, pick up some fresh flowers and grab a bite to eat. 

At Home In London

Now that the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting longer, there’s nothing better than curling up with a good book and a cup of tea. If you’re looking for some inspiration, why not head to one of London’s many independent bookstores? I’d recommend Daunt Books on Marylebone High Street which stocks an impressive range of travel books, perfect for armchair explorers. For something a little closer to home, pay a visit to Foyles on Charing Cross Road – one of the largest bookstores in Europe which is sure to have something for everyone.

There’s so much to do in London during the fall – I hope this guide has inspired you to get out there and make the most of it! London has accommodations to fit every budget, so whether you’re looking for a luxurious 5-star hotel or a cozy bed and breakfast, you’re sure to find something that suits your needs. With a little planning, your trip to London is sure to be a success.

There’s something magical about London that keeps travelers coming back for more. Maybe it’s the city’s rich history, its eclectic mix of cultures, or its iconic landmarks. Or maybe it’s simply the fact that there’s always something new to see and do. No matter what your reason for visiting, there’s no bad time to book a flight to London. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when choosing when to travel. If you’re looking to avoid the crowds, spring and fall are typically the best times to visit. I’d suggest booking your flight into Heathrow, though Gatwick is also an option. Just know you’ll have to find a taxi into the city (it’s almost 30 miles away).

Soho 

This lively neighborhood is full of personality, with trendy shops and delicious restaurants lining the streets. Don’t miss a chance to explore the area’s rich history – from its days as a fashionable district to its more recent reputation as a bohemian haven.

Chelsea  

A stone’s throw from Soho is Chelsea, another of London’s most popular neighborhoods. Home to some of the city’s best art galleries and designer boutiques, Chelsea is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely afternoon of shopping. Be sure to stop by Sloane Square, where you can people-watch from one of the many cafes.

Notting Hill

If you’re looking for a more low-key neighborhood, Notting Hill is worth a visit. This residential area is known for its quaint streets and colorful houses, as well as its annual street fair, the Notting Hill Carnival.

Kensington

Just northwest of Notting Hill is Kensington, home to both Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. This neighborhood is perfect for those who want to experience the best of London’s green spaces, as well as some of its most iconic landmarks.

Marylebone  

Marylebone is a chic neighborhood with a village-like feel. Stroll down Marylebone High Street for independent boutiques and stunning architecture, or explore one of the area’s many markets, including the world-famous Portobello Road market.

Westminster

No trip to London would be complete without seeing Westminster Abbey and Big Ben, two of the city’s most famous landmarks. This central neighborhood also offers plenty of other attractions, such as Parliament Square and Buckingham Palace.

Mayfair

Mayfair is one of London’s most exclusive neighborhoods, known for its luxury hotels and high-end shops. If you’re looking to treat yourself during your trip, this is the place to do it!

Covent Garden  

Once the site of London’s main fruit and vegetable market, Covent Garden is now better known for its abundance of restaurants and cafes. However, you can still find remnants of the area’s history at places like the Hampton Court Flower Show and Neal’s Yard Dairy (a cheese shop that has been in business since 1642).

Fitzrovia

 Fitzrovia is a trendy neighborhood that attracts students and artists alike. Full of bustling pubs and cultural institutions like The British Museum, there’s always something to do in Fitzrovia.

Hackney

 Last but not least is Hackney, an up-and-coming area in east London that is quickly gaining popularity among tourists. From hipster cafes to vintage shops, this diverse neighborhood has something for everyone.
